Start Early

The lucky children who are born into a literate environment, who have a hierarchy of learned people surrounding them, will become emergent readers before they begin reading in the traditional sense.

Their beginning books may be held upside-down as they read their story. They may find that available pencil or crayon and piece of paper purposefully left in their environ, and scribble their letters onto that piece of paper earnestly communicating with their imaginary friend.

By the time they enter the formal learning world, they are well prepared and eager to extend their learning capacity.
